ERD Brake

ERD Series Brakes are dual purpose brakes that can perform static holding as well as dynamic stopping functions.

These brakes are designed to safely keep the load in position in the event of a power or motor failure, whether intentional or accidental.

An optional manual release is and allows the operator to safely move the load even when no power is available.

Torque adjustment of up to 50% of the Dynamic capability is also available (VAR02).

• No residual torque in disengaged position

Adjustments

• Factory set, no adjustment required
• With wear adjustment for dynamic use
• Torque adjustment of up to 50% of the Dynamic capability is also available (VAR02)

Mounting Precautions

• For horizontal or vertical use for standard versions
• Horizontal use for high torque versions
• Release shipping screws after mounting

• CBC 140-5 (103,5V - 207V)

Response Times

Response times are average values for switching on the DC side.
Pull-in = release time for 10 % torque left.
Drop-out = time to obtain 90 % torque.
